  1. The bidder and potential PT Group supplier states its support of fundamental rights within the community, namely:
    Freedom of employment. Creation of free employment shall be respected; any involvement in or support of forced or compulsory labour shall be prohibited, according to international labour standards (ILO - International Labour Organization Conventions 29 and 105), as well as any involvement in or support of human trafficking;

    Non-discrimination. Discrimination at work shall not be allowed, so that all workers may benefit from equal treatment and opportunities, regardless of ethnicity, colour, nationality, gender, religion, age, political opinions, social class or any other distinctive characteristics (ILO Conventions 100 and 11);

    Prohibition of child labour. Child labour shall be prohibited. Only persons over 15 years of age shall be employed; minimum education requirements shall also be respected for each country (ILO Convention 138);

    Youngsters under the age of 18 shall not perform any tasks that, due to their nature or circumstances, may be detrimental to their health, safety or education (ILO Convention 182).


  2. The bidder and potential PT Group supplier states its support and respect for fundamental human rights at the workplace.
    The bidder and potential PT Group supplier commits to observing ILO Conventions, stating and ensuring that workers fully benefit from all rights and duties defined by the national legislation and International Conventions, with no restrictions.

    Adequate minimum wages
    Workers shall at least receive minimum wages, subsidies and other remunerations, as established by applicable legislation or national labour agreements applicable to the trade, industry or other business sector within whose scope work is performed.

    No worker shall be paid below the minimum wage defined by legislation; wages should always be sufficient to provide for the basic needs of workers and their families (ILO Conventions 94, 95 and 131).

    No amounts other than those allowed by national legislation or Collective Conventions shall be deducted from workers’ wages without their authorisation.

    Working hours
    Working hours shall be defined according to national legislation requirements, or national agreements and/or sector standards (ILO Conventions 1 and 47 and Recommendation 116).

    Overtime shall be voluntary, when possible, and not required as standard or offered to compensate for insufficient wages; overtime shall always be paid according to the national legislation and Collective Convention stipulations.

    Training and requalification
    All workers shall be given the opportunity to participate in training and/or professional requalification programmes, with a view to ensuring good professional performance.

    Employer obligations
    The bidder and potential PT Group supplier shall fulfil its obligations towards workers, both regarding labour and social security legislation and other employment regulations.

  3. The bidder and potential PT Group supplier states its support and respect for occupational health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards, namely the following:

    Assurance that workplaces are safe, hygienic and free of hazards and risks to workers’ health and safety (ILO Convention 155);

    Promotion of the best occupational health and safety practices, including provision of adequate personal protective clothing or equipment, when required, in order to prevent accidents or harmful effects for employee health. These procedures should comply with International Conventions, Specifications and Safety Standards (ILO Convention 167).

    Cooperation between supervisors, workers and their representatives shall be fundamental for compliance with adopted measures and applicable legislation, in order to ensure health and safety.

    Workers and their representatives shall receive adequate information and training in occupational health and safety.

    Respect at the workplace
    Workers shall observe basic social norms, avoiding any disrespectful actions or behaviour. People responsible for managing work groups or leading other workers shall ensure tasks are distributed equally, both in quantitative and qualitative terms.
    All required measures will be taken to ensure the absence of physical abuse, penalties or punishment, sexual harassment or any other forms of abuse at the workplace.

    Respect for the environment
    The bidder and potential PT Group supplier commits to making all required efforts to ensure environmental legislation is observed.

    Recognition of the right to online communications
    The bidder and potential PT Group supplier commits to recognising workers’ rights to online communications.


  4. The bidder and potential PT Group supplier states its commitment to ensuring observation of all principles defined in this Code of Conduct

    The bidder and potential PT Group supplier commits to making all required efforts to ensure its suppliers observe the same responsible conduct principles.

    Additionally, it commits to participating in PT Group monitoring activities, within the social responsibility scope, by authorising access to its premises by PT Group members or their representatives, in previously agreed visits, as well as implementing corrective actions in eventual non-compliance situations.
